Mr. Linn graduated from Naaman Forest High School in 1993 and received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas Tech University in 1998. He works for Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) in the Government Relations Department.

Mr. Linn is a long-time Richardson resident and homeowner, living in the Yale Park neighborhood since 2007. He and his wife, Alyson, have three elementary-aged children who all attend public schools in RISD. He is a long-standing member of the Yale Elementary PTA, and actively participates in neighborhood, school, and parent events.



Eron Linn was elected to represent District 2 on the Richardson ISD School Board of Trustees in 2019, which includes schools in the L.V. Berkner High School and J.J. Pearce High School learning communities. Mr. Linn was previously elected in 2015 and again in 2016 to represent Place 5 on the RISD School Board. 

Before serving as a Trustee for RISD, Mr. Linn served his community through his appointments to several leadership and civic boards.  Mr. Linn was appointed by the Richardson Mayor and City Council in 2009 to serve as a Member of the Zoning Board of Adjustment. In 2011, he was appointed to be a Commissioner on the City Planning Commission. Mr. Linn worked alongside his fellow residents to do his part to make Richardson a better place to live, work and play through recommendations to the Mayor and City Council regarding land use, public improvements, and zoning.

Additionally, Mr. Linn proudly served for six (6) years on the Advisory Board to the Richardson Chamber of Commerce where he was twice appointed Chair of the Public Policy Committee. The Public Policy Committee supports and communicates regularly with chamber members on local, state, and federal policy issues affecting economic development, transportation, public education, higher education, and workforce development.

Mr. Linn also served two years on the Board of Directors for the Richardson YMCA.  Mr.
Linn is a graduate of both Inside RISD (2011) and Leadership Richardson (Class XXVII).


Eron Linn is a trusted and active member of the Richardson community. He has been a youth sports coach at the Richardson YMCA, PSA, and Renegades Soccer Club.  He also attends First United Methodist Church of Richardson.


Mr. Linn is an Eagle Scout and a former member of Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity. He is also a member of the Richardson Masonic Lodge.
